2008 Fall Sale

We have quite a few varieties in our fall sale this year. Click here for details.

Collections

Still don't know what you want? Try one of our new collections. Save yourself the trouble of trying to pick daylilies that will look good together, and save yourself a little money, too.  These collections will last while we have sufficient stock.

The daylily is a member of the lily family Liliaceae and the genus Hemerocallis. Daylilies are native to the countries of Japan, Siberia, Korea, China, and Eurasia. In the early 1930s, hybridizers in the United States and England began to work with the wild daylilies to produce different colors and flower shapes. Today, there is a wide range of colors, including near white, cream, creamy yellow, lemon-yellow, golden-yellow, orange, apricot, pink, rose, scarlet, wine red, red-violet, purple, and many combinations of those. Modern daylilies display a complex variety of special features such as eyes, watermarks, halos, picotee edges, and diamond dusting. Click here to see our catalog. Daylilies are "the perfect perennial" because:

  • They will grow and thrive in a wide range of climates (depending on the cultivar)

  • They are delightfully (although, unfortunately, not completely) pest free and disease free, and thus a good choice for any gardener who doesn't want to have to fuss over his or her flowers.

  • They are generally easy to grow and notoriously resistant to dying, even at the hands of brown-thumbers. They are drought-resistant and undemanding.

  • There are many different colors, shapes, and sizes available

Lists, Lists, Lists! Updated july 9, 2008 If you don't know what you want or you don't have time to look through our entire catalog, you may want to take a look at our lists below. More lists coming!

While these lists represent our inventory at the beginning of the season, they are not necessarily updated regularly. Some daylilies on these lists may become out of stock as the season progresses.

Lists by color, form, name, etc. do not necessarily contain every daylily in that category that we have for sale.
